Indexer Record
The first record in each index should be your name and e-mail address. This record helps the data coordinator in the event he needs to contact the indexer about a problem or question. It is also important in giving you credit for your work. You're basically signing your name to your work.

This record has three fields. The first field indicates that this is the indexer record; it is always the same word set off by special characters: >>indexer<< (You will always need to include the special characters: copy it exactly). The second field is your name, and the third field is your e-mail address. For me, the line looks like this:

>>indexer<< [tab] Laura Gjovaag [tab] tegan@eskimo.com [ENDofRECORD]

For every indexer, this will be your unique signature at the top of every index you submit.
