From My Cup O' Joe featuring Bill Rosemann wrote:

JM: Now despite Quesada's horrific and callous disregard for the cosmic books, they've got quite a hardcore following. I'm told you got some cool items sent to you recently from some fans…

BR: First it was polite letters and fan art. Then came that tasty cake. And this week several staffers were graced with t-shirts and denim button-downs sporting the glorious image of the Wendell Vaughan version of Quasar…complete with his feathered mullet! That's right, Quesada, we have cake and denim shirts! Can such True Believer love be denied? I say thee nay!

This is excellent news!
I certainly read his response that way, too.
I find it odd that we didn't hear from Jeff, Jen, or Mark, though.

There you are Will!

I think it is good news too! What great timing, huh? We sent the stuff right at the beginning of the SDCC and right when they announced War of Kings!

I think Bill Rosemann is more or less the pr guy regarding us! Laughing

I only wish we would have sent something to Alexa Mendez of the "Weekly Watcher" - http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.4375.The_Weekly_Watcher%7Ecolon%7E_August_1%2C_2008

- - would have been cool to get some air time!

Sorry...I've been recovering from some absurdly long weeks at the office.
I do think it bodes well for us. I hope it's not just a return of Wendell to the Bands and the Quasar name, but also some reprints.
Maybe Ben could get it in the Weekly Watcher...doesn't he work on it with Alexa?

But he loves Nova with a passion to rival that of ours for Quasar, so he can't be all bad. Wink
Perhaps he can be persuaded to use his power for good.

Can't hurt to ask!

So I wonder what they have in store for Wendell? Gotta be more than a one panel appearance this time I would think.

After having that tasty cake I think he'd have to be!

This is the best news!

"He was transformed from a Marvel Two-In-One punchline to the single most powerful member of the Mighty Avengers, perhaps the single most powerful human being in the Marvel Universe, period, someone able to go toe-to-toe with the Silver Surfer and . . . hold back for fear of hurting the Surfer."

Asked Ben directly on comicbloc.com where he posts fairly religiously.

His reply to Rosemann's comments: No comment.

If we keep giving them free stuff, isn't that just incentive to keep him dead?
