Thought this was pretty cool (as I know some here collect Quasar artwork):

I like that card.

We could definitely use a few more signature Quasar art pieces.

Wouldn't it be something if Wendell fans who were artists would compile a poster book of their original renderings of wendell.

Rosemann agreed. “Wendell is a 'Captain America' of the sci-fi set. Honest, forthright, noble--"

The only problem I have with that first image is how bulky they made Wendell. To me, Wendell was always a lean muscular, kind of lanky. That looks like a Muscle Man in a Quasar suit.

yeah thats the same problem I have with the way he was drawn sometimes.....I never liked the my-muscles-are-so-big-I'm-going-to-explode Quasar....I like the leaner look.

Now something like that I'd really like to see on the shelves.

I suppose seeing all these versions out here, that is still the definitive classic look for me personally.

That actually looks really nice.
I'm partial to the Avatar of Infinity look, but his new look might translate better to an action figure.

I actually own that Quasar #3 pg 20... don't know why he still has it listed. Hmmmmm........

And I'll try and post a pic of the original artwork of A:C Phylla #4 with Wendell on it..... it sure looks good to see him back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The artist, Mike Lilly, mistook me for another artist. Good guy.

Glad to hear a "rabid" fan got it. Smile
I'd love to see a scan of it, too.

I left out that bottom panel. LOL Anyway , here we are: The RETURN OF WENDELL!

Edit: I can't seem to get the pic on here. However, if you follow the address, you'll see it in the album.

Sweet!
Glad to see the page went to a fellow "rabid" fan's home.
Actually, this page brings up a question. Do you guys prefer Wendell without pupils (energy from his eyes) or the more traditional manner...with pupils?

Thanks! That OG Quasar art is hard to come by! Smile

As for the eyes thing....both. Why not show energy as a flux of power.....channeling Infinity....what have you.

As you can tell, I'm finally not working. And none too soon! Bout time I get to enjoy the holiday season!

And with that, here's the George Perez sketch I won at WWTX a year and a bit ago. He did only 10 sketches that weekend and my buddy's ticket won. However, he didn't have the picture he wanted him to sketch so....... he hooked me up!

Behold the goodness!!!!!!!!!
